On Nov 19,2013, well known /s4s/tronomer Carl Kekkan paid a visit to the glorius board. Recently, his sides had reached 6 billion km after reading a hillarious joke on /s4s/.His sides captured and sent this image shown. This is what he had to say about it
The Pale Blue DubsEdit
Look again at that dot. They're numbers.Repeating. On s4s.Everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was on s4s, tried to get it. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident scriptfags, honestfigs, every funposter and shitposter, every getter and misser, every creator and destroyer of quality posts, Schultz king and pigshig, every young double in love, gippo dude and Mari Makinami, poster hopeful of dubs, getter and checker, every teacher of doubles, every corrupt spammer, every "supersexts," every "supreme septs," every saint(tom cat) and sinner(doge) in the history of our board tried to get that mote of dubs suspended in a sunbeam.
The dubs are very small stage in a vast GET arena. Think of the endless repeating digits got by the funposters of one board of 4chan on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other board, how eager they are to GET those numbers, how fervent their love for repeating numbers. Think of the rivers of dubs spilled by all those kekkers and getters so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of an ending fraction of the post number.
Our posts, our imagined importance of dubs, the fact that we have some privileged position on 4chan, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our doubles is a lonely speck in the great enveloping numeric dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that dubs will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
s4s is the only board known so far to worship dubs. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our funposters could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment s4s is where we make our stand.
It has been said that s4s is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny dubs.To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dubs, and s4s,the only home we've ever known
