Cat was orignally a me-me posted on /b/ repeatedly being posted leading to people to say "IF I SEE THAT CAT ONE MORE FUCKING TIME," in 2005. One man decided to try and replicate it (Feces) by posting 15 different threads with several different names including "you brought this upon yourselves" and oldfigs of /s4s/ post the thread sometimes and say "daily reminder that you brought this upon yourselves." He did not recieve the negative response he wanted, but it became a cherished part of /s4s/ culture
Relationship with kek[]
With the kek thread still in its babby stages around 600 posts when the influx of cats were posted people tied it with kek with several images pertaining to it and Cat being called ket.
